Submissions 2008

The Vancouver Latin American Film Festival (VLAFF) would like to invite you to participate in its sixth annual festival, being held in Vancouver  September 4-14, 2008.

Once again, within the cultural context of North America, we are proud to provide a space to exhibit works that cover Latin American subjects and themes. We are hosting this non-competitive Festival in an attempt to cast our eyes towards this rich and complex part of the world, share, reflect on and showcase the diversity of our countries.

Submission Guidelines

All Latin American productions or films with Latin American themes are invited to participate in the submission process. We are accepting features, short films and documentaries. Submitted copies need to fulfill the following requirements:

• All pre-viewing copies must be in DVD or VHS format NTSC
• English subtitles are required
• All copies must be clearly labeled with:
• Title
• Length of Film
• Contact Information (name, address, telephone, email address)
• You must fill out an ENTRY FORM for each film that you submit.
• Copies must be accompanied by a press kit (synopsis, credits, high-res photo in jpeg format)
• Submissions must be received no later than July 1, 2008. If your work is selected, our office will contact you.
• All submitted copies will become part of our videothèque, unless accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope and a request for a return.
