| The award-winning Window of the Soul presents nineteen people with different degrees of visual impairment - from mild myopia to total blindness - that narrate how they see themselves, and others and how they perceive the world. Celebrities such as Nobel Prize Jose Saramago, musician Hermet Paschoal, director Wim Wenders, Slovenian blind pho- tographer Evgen Bavcar and neurologist Oliver Sachs make personal and unexpected revelations on various aspects of vision: the physiological functioning of the eye, the use of glasses and their implications for personality, the meaning of see or not see in a world saturated with images, and also the importance of emotions as a processor of reality. Window of the Soul results in an emotional reflection on the act of “seeing” - or not see- ing - the world. O premiado Janela da Alma apresenta dezenove pessoas com diferentes graus de deficiência visual – da miopia discreta à cegueira total – que narram como se vêem, com vêem os outros e como percebem o mundo. Celebridades como o prêmio Nobel José Saramago, o músico Hermet Paschoal, o diretor Wim Wenders, o fotografo cego esloveno Evgen Bavcar e o neurologista Oliver Sachs fazem revelações pessoais e inesperadas sobre vários aspectos relativos â visão: o funcionamento fisiológico do olho, o uso de óculos e suas implicações sobre a personalidade, o significado de ver ou não ver em um mundo saturado de imagens, e também a importância das emoções como elemento transformador da realidade.
