The Chilean film "De Jueves a Domingo", directed by Dominga Sotomayor, recognized at the Rotterdam Film Festival
The Chilean film, "De Jueves a Domingo" directed by Dominga Sotomayor, was awarded the Tiger Award for First and Second films at Rotterdam Film Festival.
"De Jueves a Domingo", expertly shot by Barbara Alvarez, is a Chilean road movie set in and around the car belonging to a middle-class family. Seen through eyes of the kids in the back, the family embarks on a four day holiday trip to the north, while the parents' marriage is falling apart.
In 2009 VLAFF presented a series called "Reel Journeys: Shorts by Chilean Women" which included three short films directed and written by Dominga Sotomayor: Noviembre, Debajo & La Montaña.
The Vancouver Latin American Film Festival congratulates Dominga for this amazing recognition of her work.
