FABULA, a Canadian-Cuban Film Production Selected at the 33rd Havana International Festival of New Latin American Cinema

Fabula, a Canadian-Cuban Film Production Selected at the 33rd Havana International Festival of New Latin American Cinema.

The Canadian-Cuban film, Fabula, has been included in the Official Selection of the 33rd Havana International Festival of New Latin American Cinema. Fabula is competing for the Coral Award, the most prestigious award in the festival. The film is directed by Lester Hamlet, a respected Cuban director who is well-known in Vancouver. Mr. Hamlet attended VLAFF 2011 to present his film, Casa Vieja, which was well received by Vancouver audiences and was chosen as one of two Audience Favourities at VLAFF 9. The Vancouver-based producers Chad Barager, VLAFF founder Victor Martinez Aja, Costa Vassos and Alfonso Quijada took part in the project. Mr Quijada is also one of the main actors in the film along with Carlos Luis Gonzalez and Alicia Hechavarria. This will be the world premiere of the film.
