HAPPINESS
DIRECTOR: SANDRA VIGIL / CANADA / 2009 / 25 MIN
Happiness is an exploration of the life-stories of María, Sandra’s mother who lives in Havana, and Pat, a new friend in Vancouver. Pat was “a very liberal” youngster who late in her life took classical studies. Nowadays, she gives parties and enjoys life in a society that allows her great autonomy. María, on the other hand, lost property, friends and family, with the triumph of the Cuban revolution. Today, she reads in her room surrounded by impoverished old furniture and worries for the destiny of her daughters.

WINDOWS
DIRECTOR: ANDRES SALAS / CANADA / 2010 / 10 MIN
What is home? Where is yours? What does it mean to travel and look for home far away from it? What does it mean to be homeless? Simple concepts that are challenged by five different lives, five different windows. A trip through one day in the life of a Brazilian, a Colombian, two Canadians and one French-Canadian answers these questions and opens some other doors, in the structure we try to build day-by-day and that we call life.
