"Post Mortem" the new film of the Chilean director Pablo Larrain, selected at the 67 Venice Film Festival.
The 67 Venice Film Festival has revealed its line up for this year’s festival. The eldest film festival in the world has included only one Latin American film for its official competition, “Post Mortem” from Chile, co-produced with Germany, is the last film of the Chilean director Pablo Larrain, who was at VLAFF last year with "Tony Manero".
27 films compete for the Golden Lion for best film in this section.
The Mexican-Canadian director Nicolas Pereda will have the premiere of his film “Verano de Goliat” in the section Orizzonti (this year Nicolas Pereda will be at VLAFF with his film “Perpetuum Mobile”). Other Latin American film presented in this section is “Jean Gentil” directed by Laura Amelia Guzman and Israel Cardenas (directors of “Cochochi”).
The president of the jury this year is the US director Quentin Tarantino (“Kill Bill”) among all the members of the jury there is one Mexican writer and director, Guillermo Arriaga (writer of “Amores Perros” and “Babel”).
The 67 Venice Film Festival this year will be held from September 1 to 11.
