In 1999, an upper-class young man from Bogotá is kidnapped by a guerrilla group. His life is radically transformed as he tries to live in captivity in the midst of a violent armed conflict involving the regular army, the guerrillas and paramilitary groups. His vision of reality and the country is turned upside down, while he struggles to keep his sanity… and his life. The film is a raw, gripping account of the brutality experienced by Colombian kidnap victims: inhumane conditions, the dangers of the jungle, paramilitary warfare, the unconscionable use of children by armed groups, and the underlying class issues.
