Only eight years ago, the Vancouver Latin American Film Festival was the initiative of three individuals who wanted to increase the exposure of Latin American cinema in Vancouver. In the first year, there were ten films shown in one venue. Now, we have grown to be able to show over 60 films in 11 days at four venues. We have feature-length films, shorts and documentaries from 13 countries. We have master classes in the technical aspects of film, multi-media events, free screenings, and amazing live music.

Our reputation is growing both across Canada and internationally as a respected film society that offers quality Latin American Films that are both affordable and accessible. We want to keep the momentum going in 2010 as we prepare for the 8th Latin American Film Festival on September 2-12th, featuring Colombia as our spotlight country. Your financial support is critical to our success.
